St Joseph's Catholic Primary School
St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Parramatta Park, Cairns, held a day of fundraising events in support of disadvantaged children in Cambodia.
In the classroom, students at St Joseph’s learnt about how many children in Cambodia are not able to go to school, and how Sr Eulie and the Daughters of Charity have come up with the concept of a Mobile Tuk-Tuk Education Centre, so they can go out to children in rural areas and give them the opportunity to learn.
To help support the work in Cambodia, every grade came up with an activity to raise money, such as guessing the number of jellybeans in a jar, raffles and even a water bottle flip challenge.
In total, the students at St Joseph’s raised $2,400 towards children in need in Cambodia.
