Welcome to Catholic Mission's World Mission Month School Resource for 2017.
Join with Catholic Mission this World Mission Month to learn more about issues of mission and justice and to reach out to the children in Uganda who benefit from the care provided by Sr Mary Goretti and staff in the health centre in Bujuni.
This year for World Mission Day 2017 Pope Francis says:
“Young people are the hope of mission…. They seek ways to put themselves with courage and enthusiasm
at the service of humanity.”
The “Life to the Full” video along with the learning resources, and the insightful stories about the work of Sister Mary Goretti and her community will help educate, inform and engage students and hopefully inspire them to reach out to children in need.
Anti Poverty Week
We invite you to get involved with World Mission Month 2017 by exploring our resources and using some or all the suggested activities. Remember you can click on our link to National
Anti-Poverty Week (15-21 October) here
We are also delighted to invite you for the first time through the power of 360VR, to witness
first-hand what life is like for Harriet, a 13 year old living in a house on the outskirts of Bujuni – a small village 3 hours drive west of Uganda's capital Kampala. Meet Harriet, walk with her to her home while she collects water, shows you her school and brings you to her local health clinic. Share in her story in this new and interactive medium here
